Who invited them?

The days were passing by so quickly now that Penny was in the house Micah barely ever had a moment to sit down and relax between going to work and taking care of his baby girl. The little down time he did have that wasn't reserved for sleep always seemed to be taken over by some kind of disaster lately as well. For example the bathtub springing a leak. 

Luckily when he did have to work he was less worried about Penny then he had expected to be since he had called everyone he knew in search of the perfect baby sitter. Anderson had turned out to be just as good as every one had told him he would be. Even when the boy watched TV he made sure to keep the baby happy.

All too soon for Micah it was the day before Penny's birthday. He looked at his little girl and smiled. "You are growing up way too fast little one." He told her and she gurgled back at him pulling on his chin.

"I told you I'd be here!" Ella said with a wave and a smile as she rushed into the house just moments before the candles were blown out. Micah chuckled for her benefit but on the inside sighed with relief, it was a lot harder to see each other then he had originally anticipated and this was the first time Ella had seen Penny since her birth.

"Alright little one here we go." He whispered to Penny as he leaned down to blow out her candles.

After some sparkles Penny was suddenly a toddler and by the look on her face Micah had a feeling she was going to be a silly little girl. 

"Hello cutie pie." He cooed picking her up before being tapped on the shoulder. 

"Have you heard about these abductions?" Kelsey Ramos asked him.

"What abductions?"

"Hello, have you been under a rock ALIENS MAN! They are popping up everywhere!!" He exclaimed. "A buddy of mine says he knows a guy who came back and turned up pregnant!"

"That's not even humanly possible." Micah rolled his eyes.

"Its Aliens dude anything is possible." He said seeming a bit grumpy.

Penny watched the man warily. Even though she was only a baby she knew this man wasn't wrong in what he was saying but she also knew her dad was strong in his belief of science. Although she also knew that his belief would be tested in the years to come by many others as well as herself.

As the cowboy finally found someone else to spout conspiracies at Penny shivered as she watched the moon rise in the window behind her father. Sure she knew everyone was going to be just fine but that didn't stop her from getting a little freaked out about what was about to stumble threw the door.

Of course her daddy was kind enough to distract her with the claw.

Ella was not the least bit scared by the zombies that had crashed her daughters birthday in fact she found it quite amusing to tease them as they attempted to "attack her". 

Once she bored of that she decided to launch and attack on Micah, he didn't really seem to mind all that much. 

Penny wasn't sure it was proper parenting to leave her alone with a zombie and had she been any other child she might have screamed and cried when the zombie growled in her direction.

Besides it was only a matter of time before the zombie wandered into her fathers room. 

"Rawr." Micah mocked the zombie. "You know they are quite fascinating actually we've been trying to study them at the facility but it's next to impossible since the curse is only during the moon and the subjects have no memory of their events during that time." He told Ella who rolled her eyes. 

"One of these days I'm going to manage a study." He said with determination before going back to taunting the poor zombie.

Zombie attacks aside the birthday party was a success and they all made it to bed safely that night.

A/N

LOL so that was the first time I had ever seen a sim taunt a zombie I probably spent a good five minutes laughing while taking those pictures. (I'm very easily amused.) Sorry if I'm going a bit fast with the aging up of Penny but pretty much nothing happened between her birth and becoming a child aside from a promotion for Micah. Also I know that I have been pretty much spamming chapters but I just have been on a roll with this legacy and I don't want to be too far ahead in game. Thank you for reading :-)

New Arrival

"Dinner is almost ready though I can't promise boxed mac n cheese is up to your standards." Micah called to Ella where she sat on the couch.

"Don't worry this baby has stolen my taste buds." She sighed turning the tv off. Being on maternity leave had made Ella rather grumpy which was something Micah hadn't expected from his usually sunny girlfriend. In fact despite loving the time he got with her he couldn't wait for the baby to come so she could get back to her life. 

So when she went into the labor the next morning he was relieved along with his excitement. "Ella should you really be driving?" He asked after she had shoved him into the passenger seat.

"If I let you drive I'll have this baby in the car!" She growled as she sped down the road.

"There is a speed limit you know!" He said grabbing onto the dash.

"MICAH I WILL KILL YOU!" She warned.

A few hours later and they were back at his house with their new baby girl Penny. Ella cuddled her close and it was clear to him that she wished she could change her goals but she was just to headstrong. Micah wouldn't admit it out loud but had she asked him if she could stay he would have proposed on the spot. Of course she didn't ask she just kissed the top of Penny's forehead and handed her over holding back tears. "I'll see you in a few days?" She asked.

"Of course." Micah said stroking her cheek with his free hand.

Too soon he was alone with his beautiful baby girl. Of course Penny didn't allow him to be sad at Ella's departure for long. She was possibly the happiest baby Micah had ever seen nothing like the wailing banshee's he'd been raised with, though he did remember his mother saying how calm he had been as a baby. It looked like Penny was taking after him already. 

After feeding and playing with Penny the next morning Micah headed out to the garden to find his tomatoes were finally ripe enough to harvest. He smiled to himself, life was good.

A/N

I HATE when my single roll sims roll the wish to get married as if I don't feel bad enough!! Anyway another very short update! I promise soon I get to the point where I started taking more pictures and they will get longer. Penny is by far the easiest baby sim I have ever had in my game she hardly causes a fuss and she even sleeps all night! Thanks for reading =)

When the phone rings...

Micah couldn't decide if he was more relieved or disappointed when he woke up the next morning alone. On the one hand Ella being gone meant he hadn't ventured too far from his plans but then on the other he missed her. Instead of dwelling on his feelings he threw himself into a day of improving his skills in hopes of impressing his boss Monday. 

When Monday rolled around he found himself falling onto the couch exhausted from a stressful work day. He barely even noticed his ringing phone before he fell asleep. 

He awoke to a grumbling stomach an hour or so later and drug himself to the fridge to make some salad again barely noticing his ringing phone. 

He was completely shocked when his doorbell rang at 10 pm. He wondered who the heck would possibly be visiting him at this hour. 

When he caught sight of Ella he put together whose calls he'd been ignoring all day and was immediately regretful. "So you are alive!" Ella sighed following him into the house. "I was beginning to get concerned I only called you a hundred times." 

"I'm sorry I had a long day." He said distractedly looking down at her stomach. "Ella-"

"Yes I'm pregnant." She said before he could finish asking. "We need to talk." He attempted to swallow the lump in his throat. "Here's the thing this is not my plan." She said abruptly. "I mean kids are great and all that but I'm just not the doting mother type... I want a restaurant someday and being home changing diapers wont get me there." She looked down at the floor looking almost embarrassed. Of course she had no idea she was saying was actually kind of what Micah wanted. 

"So you want me to raise the baby?" He asked. 

"It is your baby too!" She said taking his answer the wrong way and getting defensive.

"I know," He chuckled. "I wasn't complaining just asking."

"You aren't upset?" She looked at him hopefully.

"Of course not. I have career goals too and I came here with a plan to leave behind a legacy but I was never sure how I could do both since my career needs to be my focus and I'd never have the proper time to give a wife."

"What about a child?"

"Aside from the time I'm at work I'd dedicate everything to them." He smiled bending down to rub her belly. 

"So now what?"

"Now you stay until the baby is born and then we both can get back to our goals."

"What about us?"

"We'll make time once a week to see each other and for you to see the baby if you like." 

"Sounds perfect." She said with a warm smile.

So very short chapter but for me until there is more then one Sim in the house there isn't really anything interesting going on especially with a traditional career. I did move Ella into the house and was surprised when she brought 13,000 simoleons with her, which I used master controller to get rid of cause it felt pretty cheaty. She wont be with us long however since I rolled single (seems to be a theme for me). Anyway hope you enjoyed, next chapter should be out in a couple days since I'm a bit ahead in game.
